10 Important Time and Work Practice Questions — Part 1 (2020)
In this post, we have created a list of 10 important time and work practice questions. This is the first part of time and work problem series. These questions are in MCQ format and their answer key is at the end of the page. It is upside down to discourage cheating.

Time and Work Practice Questions (Easy)
These are some easy time and work problems that you should be able to solve in 5-10 seconds.
1) To complete a work, Akash takes 22% more time than Vedant. They take 50 days to complete the work together. How much time will Akash take to do it alone?
2) Vaishnavi can do a piece of work in 36 days and Seema in 30 days. With the help of Sneha, they finish the work in 12 days. How many days will Sneha take to do the work alone?
3) Pranav is 35% more efficient than Arun, and can alone do a work in 94 days. How many days will Pranav and Arun take to finish the job when working together?
Time and Work Practice Questions (Medium)
These are some time and work problems with medium difficulty level. Try to solve them in 15-20 seconds.
4) A contractor undertook to finish a certain work in 195 days and employed 72 men. After 78 days, he found that he had already done 1/2 of the work. How many men can be discharged now so that the work may finish in time?
5) 8 men can complete a job in 10 days. 5 women can complete it in 20 days. 10 children can complete it in 16 days. How long will 14 men, 20 women and 20 children take to complete the work together?
6) 8 men and 9 women or 12 men and 8 women or 5 men and 13 children can complete a work in 41 days. How many children are needed to do the same work as 1 woman?
Time and Work Practice Questions (Hard)
These are some time and work problems with hard difficulty level. Try to solve them in 30-40 seconds.
7) 16 men and 34 boys can do a piece of work in 30 days while 15 men and 10 boys can do the same in 42 days. How long will 13 men and 32 boys take to do the same type of work?
8) 10 women take 12 days to complete a work which can be completed by 15 men in 17 days. 18 men started working on it. After 7 days, 5 men left and 4 women joined them. How many days will it take them to complete the remaining work?
9) 10 men and 12 boys can do a piece of work in 38 days while 12 men and 10 boys can do the same in 36 days. How long will 11 men and 6 boys take to do the same work?
10) Jatin, Katherine and Nitin can complete a work in 45 days. Jatin can work 3 times faster than Katherine and 2 times faster than Nitin. How many days will Jatin and Nitin take to complete the work together?
