    10 Important Mensuration Practice Questions — Part 1 (2020)

    In this post, we have created a list of 10 important mensuration practice questions. This is the first part of mensuration problem series. These questions are in MCQ format and their answer key is at the end of the page. It is upside down to discourage cheating.

    Mensuration Practice Questions (Easy)

    These are some easy mensuration problems that you should be able to solve in 5-10 seconds.

    1) Two circles touch each other internally. The difference of their areas is 240\(\pi\) cm2 and the distance between their centres is 8cm. Find the radius of the smaller circle.

    2) The perimeter of two squares are 280cm and 168cm. What is the perimeter of a third square whose area is equal to the difference of the areas of these two squares?

    3) A wire in the shape of a square covers an area of 143 sq.cm. The wire is now bent into a circular shape. Find the area of the circle.

    These are some mensuration problems with medium difficulty level. Try to solve them in 15-20 seconds.

    4) A circular wire of diameter 70 cm is folded in the shape of a rectangle whose sides are in the ratio 15 : 7. Find the area enclosed by the rectangle.

    5) The length of a room floor exceeds its width by 60m. The area of the floor remains the same when the length is decreased by 16m but the width is increased by 5m. Find the width of the floor.

    These are some mensuration problems with hard difficulty level. Try to solve them in 30-40 seconds.

    7) A park is spread across 1190m2. Two cross paths of width 3m are constructed inside it such that their combined path area is 198m2. Find the width of the park.
