10 Mensuration Questions for Bank PO — Part 1 (2021)

Mensuration Questions for Bank PO (Easy)
These are some easy mensuration problems that you should be able to solve in 5-10 seconds.
1) A path of uniform width 4m has been constructed along the outside of a park whose perimeter is 567m. Find the area of the path.
2) \(a\) and \(b\) are the lengths of the sides of a right triangle whose hypotenuse is 11m and whose area is 93m2. Find the value of \((a + b)^2\).
3) Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are 36cms and 15cms. The diagonal joining the end points of these two sides is 39cms. Find the area of the parallelogram.
Mensuration Questions for Bank PO (Medium)
These are some mensuration problems with medium difficulty level. Try to solve them in 15-20 seconds.
4) The length of each side of a rhombus is equal to the length of the side of a square whose diagonal is 61\(\surd2\)cm. The length of the diagonals of the rhombus are in the ratio 6:5. Find the area of the rhombus.
5) The length of a room floor exceeds its width by 34m. The area of the floor remains the same when the length is decreased by 10m but the width is increased by 8m. Find the length of the floor.
6) The area of an isosceles triangle is 420cm2. The length of the third side is 24cm. Find the length of each equal side.
Mensuration Questions for Bank PO (Hard)
These are some mensuration problems with hard difficulty level. Try to solve them in 30-40 seconds.
7) At each corner of a triangular field of sides 19m, 37m and 20m, a cow is tethered by a rope of length 7m. Find the area ungrazed by the cows.
8) A room 7m 3cm long and 11m 84cm broad is to be fitted with equal square tiles. How many number of largest possible tiles are required so that they exactly fit?
9) Two sides of a plot measure 32m and 24m and the angle between them is a perfect right angle. The other two sides measure 25m each and the other three angles are not right angles. Find the area of the plot.
10) The altitude drawn to the base of an isosceles triangle is 27cm and its perimeter is 162cm. Find the area of the triangle.
